Recently, I got programming in lua. As I got into the book, the language looked really similar, then it hit me. Lua is skidded off of Fortran. I will explain.

The languages are very similar, Fortran and Lua have the same mathematical calculation format.
My conclusion is that since Fortran was made almost 40 years ago, it predates Lua. Lua clearly is skidded off of Fortran. Roblox uses Roblox Lua, since Roblox Lua is just Modified Lua, it is still partially Lua. Lua is mostly Fortran, Roblox Lua is therefore based off Fortran.

They do have the same mathmatical calculation formats, but they are written differently, Lua being simpler something.

this made me cringe so hard of course the look the same bruh you literally just showed if statements dude I guarantee every single widely used language has a if statement if your trying to show that lua is skidded dont show basic code they will practically look the same.
