Thoughts on exploits based on tutorials?

Now, I do not mean the design is literally copied and the code is copy and pasted and people claim they made it. I mean looking at a tutorial on how to make something like a tab system.

 

Do you think it makes them a skid?

Personally, I don't necessarily care if people skid or not, sometimes I see people getting called skids for simply using another persons code to find out and learn how it works..

I just ignore the term "skid" overall.

Errrr if they learn how it works then write their own then sure that's alright.

@lesaurora Wouldnt you read the code to learn how it works though? Not use it. You learn how the code works and what it does then you write your own version of that code either more efficiently or differently. If it's a small piece of code, yes, then it's stupid to call someone out for skidding because that could just coincidentally be how they wanted to write those 2-5 lines of code.
