Windows uses an installer database (MSI) to keep track of installed programs and their files. When you try to uninstall or upgrade, it often refers back to this database, which sometimes expects the original installation files to be present.

So, did you save the JJSploit_8.14.2_installer.exe or similar file? If you can find it, try running it and see if it offers an "Uninstall" or "Repair" option.

Manually Remove JJSploit:

  • This is a last resort. Incorrectly modifying the registry can cause system instability.
  • Steps (general guide, specific paths might vary):
    1. Backup your registry: Before doing anything, open regedit.exe (Windows key + R, type regedit, press Enter), go to File > Export, and save a backup of your entire registry.
    2. End JJSploit processes: Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), go to the "Processes" tab, and end any processes related to JJSploit.
    3. Delete program files: Go to C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) and manually delete any folders named "JJSploit" or related to it.
    4. Clean up temporary files: Go to %TEMP% (type in Windows Search) and delete any JJSploit-related files.
    5. Remove registry entries:
      • Open regedit.exe.
      • Navigate to:
        • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
        • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE
        • Look for any keys or folders named "JJSploit" or "WeAreDevs" (the developer of JJSploit) and delete them.
      • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and look for a subkey related to JJSploit. This key often contains information about the program and its uninstall string. Delete this subkey.
      • Be extremely careful not to delete unrelated keys.
