Looking for help understanding how in-game item marketplaces work
Posted
Hi everyone. I’ve long been wondering how the bots behind marketplaces like StarPets, DreamPets, Luger, BloxPvp, and similar sites actually work.
Take MM2 as an example (I’ve heard it’s easier to pull this off there than in Adopt Me, for instance).
How do their bots automatically send trades, figure out which player to trade with, know which item to send, and then send that information back to the server?
I assume they’re probably sending information through a webhook, but how exactly is this auto-delivery implemented?

They interact with the game just like anyone else would. Firing events to the server and scraping data programmatically. Can't really explain it in a much simpler way because that is what they do verbatim.
