How do I make a good PHP forum?

Every PHP forum tutorial I watch on YouTube is either Trash, 2 hours long or it is somethin I don't understand.
The only reason I need to use PHP now is to make a good forum website. Can someone help me out?

Look into MyBB if you want a quick-start solution. It is built on PHP. It is open-source, so you can always edit the PHP code to get what you want. V3rmillion uses it and so do a bunch of other popular forums.
