Is this why embeds like imgur got removed from the forum?

Lemme explain what happen and how i came to that conclusion.

I made an ip logger and i was testing it so i went in a discord group and showed an example link (ngrok for tunneling because it was self hosted). A few milliseconds after i posted it, i got a log on my console saying someone clicked it with ip and location and all that stuff. I did not even had the time to say its an ip logger. I was really angry at myself and i told them "WHY THE F*** DID YOU CLICK THAT LINK! I DID NOT EVEN HAD THE TIME TO TELL YOU IT'S AN IP LOGGER." but they didn't replied. It looked like they were offline, but someone clicked on my link. So i came to the conclusion that they did not click on that link, but it was still weird. The next day, today, i used a website that does get and post requests to websites to test your api and stuff like that. I won't name the site because i don't want people to hack it but for some reason i did get the ip. I already knew that website had the cloudflare ssl thingy because i checked the certificate. When i wrote that IP on google, it did not tell me that i can't access via real ip like sites protected by cloudflare would. I was chocked. It just showed me the hello world nginx page. And of course, the response of the api testing page was the full url for my ip logger, which was google.com in that case. I then understood how "someone" clicked on my link. It was discord that did a GET request to the url, they do that to be able to show the embed (like many websites). So the IP i got was not the ip of someone in the group, it was the IP of discord. WeAreDevs recently removed embeds and someone ddosed the website frequently. I think it's because you can make it pass through an ip logger, like i did for google.com and discord. Am i right? Is that why embeds like imgur got removed?

TL;DR i think it's because of ip loggers in embeds.
