@Ducxy Your statement is biased and invalid, should've probably done more fact-checking before.
First off, quality is a subjective term. So looking at it from a perspective of the hardware you get, Apple is utterly destroyed. This is evident in the PC consumer market by the fact that Apple now attempts to self-design and self-manufacture different components, the only Apple products that meet performance standards are so heavily overpriced that they are utterly useless to buy (Great example is one of their more recent Mac Pros, which costs a whopping 50 thousand USD, and can be beaten by a self-built computer for around ~30 thousand dollars as proven by multiple individuals on LTT forums, TechPowerUp and then Linus Sebastian himself.
In the phone market, Apple doesn't stand a chance in product quality either. Most Android phones are well-known to blow Apple's iPhone series out of the water with much faster Snapdragon processors (which evolve faster than Apple can catch up), high quality 48-108+ MP main sensors for cameras (indicating much better non-software-bound camera/image quality), as well as operating systems, as iOS is a child's toy compared to how powerful Android has become due to it finally being a more centralized platform. Apple is beaten at both price to performance (getting absolutely wrecked by mid-range Android-based phones that cost ~100-200 USD each) and high end, as companies like Samsung and Xiaomi release flagships that Apple's overpriced phones cannot even compete with (A great example is the Mi 10 Ultra, which costs 700-1000 USD retail yet offers the best mobile hardware that money can buy).
Hardware issues? You bet. Underconsidered cooling systems in nearly all Macbook-series laptops. 2020 Macbook models come with severe flaws in CPU cooling. All products are hard to repair, dishonest authorized repair groups. No chance of data recovery even if possible in hardware terms. Welcome to Apple, priority is to get you to buy a new product, not get your old one working. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUaJ8pDlxi8
As for operating systems, you are clearly clueless as to what's available on the market. Calling MacOS and iOS optimized isn't a lie, no, if you rephrase it into 'optimized to be as garbage as possible'. GNU/Linux-based distributions in most cases, even with fancy desktop environments like KDE's Plasma installed absolutely blow whatever optimization you are talking about on MacOS out of the water.
Even taking Windows into question here, MacOS 'utilizing fewer system resources' is just a what? Windows 10 features the same forms of memory management such as memory compression, and CPU usage is the same if not lower if you're actually willing to configure your PC instead of stick with the 'it just works' widoze-poweruser mentality. Linux? MacOS obviously can't compete, at all.
Now getting to the processor, that is the worst, most biased, and incorrect argument I've ever actually heard. Talking processing power, you are entirely wrong. The M1 is almost always being compared against not desktop, but mobile processors, which are also only those within the lineup of what has been in Macs before. Currently, the cheapest M1-based Apple systems (Macbook Air) go for 1000 USD retail price. For this pricepoint, you can build a computer with an 8 core Ryzen such as the Ryzen 7 3700X which would once again blow the M1 into dust in any multithreaded workload. This is what Apple avoids, as if you check the benchmarks, the only area the M1 does well in is single-threaded versus AMD's older Ryzen 5 4300U or Intel's quad-core mobile i9. When multithreading is taken into account, even AMD's and Intel's mobile processors happen to do just as good if not better than Apple's M1 (Currently ignoring the factor of desktop processors, which can be acquired for cheaper in complete builds, and are obviously much faster).
it will no longer be possible to contact me here, but i will be on session for at least a bit :)
