so i used to have a gif as a picture, somehow it got removed, and my friends got removed, so i tried to update it, when you update your pfp to a gif it doesnt work and today i got this error that says cannot handle the file. it works on pictures but not gifs.

I haven't added support yet.
GIFs tend to be larger files. Though they're still pretty small, it adds up with every new account who adds a PFP. I have a tiny file limit for uploaded files which has been more than enough for png/jpg. Most GIFs would be rejected since again, they tend to be larger. I'll either limit GIFs to active patrons or apply a reasonable file size limit increase for patrons.
That and my opinion that GIFs can be extemely annoying/distracting.
