Hey Gamers, I was bored so I decided to write a

short but brief history of programming.

This is also for people who want to know about programming languages, their development, and origins.

I hope you like my article on programming languages.

Don't forget to leave some reviews in the replies!

Download Here (It's a .docx file)

Update: Made another article on this topic. Download here

Interesting short but brief history of progaminggramming.

I hope you aren't offended by me, but there are a few odd sentence structures which triggers my OCD. Not historical errors, but grammatical ones.

1947 was the year of the first assembly of the United States of America.

This sentence confused me when I read it, but it was kinda obvious you were talking about asm

The year 1952 is represented by the autocode 1952

You could remove this sentence and mention when Autocode was created later, since this looked strange to me. Names usually start with a capital letter unless branded as such.

early family of computer programming languages known as Autocode

One or many of them?

Developed for the University of Manchester's Mark 1 computer, the first was created by Alick Glennie.

This sentence just completely drives me crazy, I don't think I have to mention why...

1958 was the year

It can be simplified to "In 1958", this also drove me a bit crazy.

Fortran is a

It should be FORTAN. Small detail, but still annoyed me.

Developing in Algol is

Developing in Algol was.

Only a few examples

I think you understand this too.

LISt is a shorthand for the LISt Processing language

This seems unnecessary.

now capable of being used in

This looked incorrect to me for some reason. I would have used "now capable of running in".

The Beginner's Universal Symbolic Instruction Code is the shorthand for this phrase

You can state this somewhere else.

These are some and I didn't look at all of them carefully. Nethertheless, interesting piece of work.
