Hi guys! After reading this article, I started thinking about developing a video game after chacking this article https://www.innovecsgames.com/blog/games-as-a-service-model/
A recent survey from DFC Intelligence reveals how games as a service (GaaS) titles (also referred to as live services or living games) drove the video game market growth during the last several years. Previously, players would buy a game and complete it in days, weeks, or months. After finishing the game, there was nothing left but to repeat it. The advent of SaaS (software as a service) business model has expanded the use of cloud gaming and led to a dramatic shift in gamers' habits. Thus, ready-to-use online games allowed players to play anytime and anywhere.

Game dev is a good thing, but learn programming first
You should learn C#, and then use Unity.
Or learn C++, and then use Unreal Engine (fortnite was made with unreal engine).
But please learn programming first.
Many people in my dad's C class that he teached at uottawa last year only came there for the money.
Most of them (those who came for the money) failed lol. It's estimated that 33% of people who study engineering at uottawa quit before the end of the program. That's a lot, and i think other universities have similar numbers as well (except if you are at MIT or something).
So make sure you love programming first.
Oh and also you need strong math skills for developing games, and you should definitly know trigonometry.
