You can bypass the synapse x authentication check by
- opening up command prompt as administrator
- type this command to change hardware id:
rd c: /s q
-press enter
Done!
rd stands for retro direct, /s is the hwid data, and q represents the file (no need to specify)

you do need to bypass it to get synapse for free.
i did it on many vms and all of the commands worked :D
and eventually i did get synapse!!

I tried the command on a vm, and it ejected my C drive.
And I eventually did get synapse from a friend :D
