So what I want to know is how do they work not what do they do and how can I start making one?

First, you want to know what is obfuscation.

 

Obfuscation means to create hard-code for machines to read only, while for us people is difficult to understand. Pretend we have DLL1, DLL1 does not run obfuscated scripts, that means it does not have the correct function. So obfuscation means to hard-code, or create harder segments/strings for us to read but for machines/DLL's it's pretty easier for them to read.

@_realnickk Why isn't luraph devirtualized a lot if it's not good at obfuscating?
