so i upgraded my old laptop with 8 gb of ram and an SSD

it used to run CSGO at 70-80 fps but now it's always locked at around 60, sometimes drop entirely down to 30

the CPU is kinda old (2012) and maybe bottlenecked

recommend me some optimizations :)

EDIT: i found out why it's locked at 60. my driver settings had VSync enabled by default and i had to disable it (my monitor is 60 hz no bully ok)

Install Linux, CSGO works there (steam).

The only problem is that Linux does not have Roblox, and that unless you are 3dsboy08, it would be hard to make it work on it.

@Wabz i planned on actually getting arch linux running, but since most of my development requires me to be on windows, and installing a virtual machine is not my choice

so i'm stuck with windows

keep it locked at 60 lol, you will only see 60 and not locking it will cause tearing

Other than that, 60HZ in 2020 is outdated

My laptop has 144Hz.

@44296keeping it locked means that the fps will be 60 or bellow

while having it unlocked means that the fps will always stay 60+

yes screen tearing may be an issue

autho im pretty sure most people prefer fps>screen tearing

I don't. Usually if you are playing only slightly above 60 (up around his range) the screen tearing is horrible on 60hz displays.

the tearing is less noticeable if you are running something like 244FPS on a 60hz but i guess if it suits him oh well
