What project should I write?

A. A virtual machine thats capable of running operating systems such as Windows 1.0, 3.1, 95, etc.
B. An NES emulator with support for most NES roms in existence.
C. couldnt think of something for C, suggest stuff below.

This is a short project, but make a program which encrypts your message with 2 inputs: the string and index. Takes like 20 minutes at most and is fun to try.
For example:
foo("a b c", 1)
/*
Output:
