i dont really know what to title this but ok.
ive had some "friends" that wanted to get into creating exploits and ive asked why and "easy popularity" my only answer to that is just dont start this becuase u want easy popularity or money very few people actually make money off of this and if u dont actually enjoy it its gonna be really boring and feel like ur obligated to every update u release, personaly when i came into this i really loved coding i came from coding bo3/csgo cheats/mods and i came to roblox and i instantly fell in love with it and over time it became really boring (im thinking ab quitting soon) and to someone who just wants popularity out of it its gonna happen even quiker. i dont want anything but for the roblox exploiting community to thrive with ppl who actually enjoy doing it so this is rlly to anyone who wants to do it for fame or popularity just DONT do it

All I can say is do not collab with another person you found online, unless you are really good friends with them

I agree with your view.
The community has grown but that means there's just less "activeness" with it. It's moreso re-releases and arguments forming than contributions. Only reason why a lot of members continue to participate in the community is because they're developers/have an active game they play.
