its pretty a*s and lacks features.

As Ducxy said, Nertivia is really ass.
There was a lot of rumors about IP stuff and the owner not hashing IP's, something like that.
Also Nertivia was something some servers used just in case their Discord servers got deleted, because Nertivia at the time had no TOS.
But then they added a TOS and barely anyone that I know uses it anymore.

@Darkn Most services store users IP Address in plain text to IP ban users from their platform. There is nothing wrong in doing this.

Anyway, as you can read while signing up, Nertivia is just a fun project made by me. It is not really intended for everyday use. Just made for fun and open sourced.

@loli Honsetly if Discord and Nertivia combined it would equal the dream chat client. Nertivia has native themes, a drawing pad, etc

I don't see any practical or logical reason to ever use this. This tries to do a lot and fails at almost everything, the whole concept makes no sense. This is a glorified Discord clone that is promoted as open source yet it offers no real features that would otherwise make it any better than Discord.

If you want an alternative to Discord that promises proper security and ease of use, you have Keybase. There's also the Matrix protocol (and many clients surrounding it, such as Element), if you're a developer it's a bonus as you can build your own Matrix client with whatever features you might want while not having to deal with the backend or complex encryption-based messaging systems.
