Salad - A new "Money" miner?

Hey there,

So i've recently found out on a new website an advertisement called "Salad". It's basically an uhm, maybe not "false", but a crypto-money miner, I guess? I just recently started yesterday so I don't really know a lot about it. You can actually redeem it for Discord Nitro, Steam CD Keys (for specified games) and most of them are really cheap. Spotify and other things can be found also there. If you want to download I will put the links below. So let me just go through a quick tutorial about how this works.

 

1. You install the Salad client.

2. Click the "Start" button in the up left corner. (srry if bad explanation)
3. It will start 15 minutes, because it needs to set up miners. (yes, it's safe.)

4. After it's done, it should say "CHOPPING". It means it's chopping the moni now.

 

So for now, a quick and better explanation of states of Salad.

 

You can also select if you want to mine with your GPU (Graphics Card), or CPU (Processor)

There are 3 states of Salad that you should be aware of:

 

STOPPED

Salad isn't doing anything, your machine IS NOT being used, and you won't earn anything.

 

PREPPING

Salad is now downloading and running a miner. Things are warming up but we are still waiting for

confirmation that your miner is running properly. This can take some time.

 

CHOPPING

Salad has now confirmed that your miner is running correctly and you are now earning!

 

You can also check if the miner is working through going to the list of processes, click salad and check if there's an "miner.exe" process. If there is, it means that you're succesfully earning money.

 

You can also ask me if the mining is good for my PC / Laptop?

Yes, it is untill you have a potato PC. Reccomended GB is at least 4, I have 8GB RAM (ofc RAM) and my vent are actually silent.

 

Does this do anything with my CPU?

No, it doesn't, at least for me there's no CPU usage.
