What is the technical reason that the exploits did not work on windows7
Posted
I know this is an old topic, but I never understood why exploits can't be used on windows7

Windows 7's backend API or some other functions might not be the same as Windows 10's. Modern Windows versions are written separately, so code that is in one version might not be in another. The same thing could apply to API calls or other necessities programmers need for an exploit.

Its because windows 7 is more vunlrabe to viruses / malware the reasom why windows 7 dosent support exploits is because windows 7 is outdated backdoors can probaly just easily get on the system spyware trojans all those types of malware and some are not safe

roblox exploit dll's use c++ functions natively exclusive to windows 10 that windows 7 doesn't have. therefore those exploits don't work on windows 7 because they dont have the functions needed.

usually because windows 7 is outdated and doesn't contain windows 10 essential file inorder to run a compiled program from windows 10 ( found on msdn ) but usually it works :>

Everything on Windows 7 is outdated, it's an almost impossible task to make a high end exploit run on Windows 7.

Wut?
Windows 7 isn't more vulnerable to malware than Windows 10 is, it's still being updated: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/july-13-2021-kb5004289-monthly-rollup-c4067c98-da5a-4aec-a40f-486cbc5e2374
>backdoors can probably just easily get on the system
Backdoors don't 'get' on a system, they are built-in. It's literally what the definition of a backdoor is. Microsoft might introduce more but why? Most people have swapped off it already, and any backdoors will probably be found by attackers now that Windows 7 is reaching the end of its update cycle.
>spyware trojans all those types of malware and some are not safe
Any operating system can have malware, not just ones that are reaching the end of life. I expect to find a windows 11 exploit in due time. Also, id think that all malware is unsafe... like the name implies.
(imagine being surprised when you find out windows has a backdoor in it and actively has spyware... that you enroll yourself into.)

@Memelous the real reason windows 9 doesnt exist from what i know is that systems that detect what operating system you're using would think you're running windows 98 it was why microsoft skipped to 10

@Kevinn indeed. When writing Windows 95 and 98, Microsoft used "Windows 9x" or "Windows 9" in a lot of their programs and code and whatnot and so did 3rd parties. Creating Windows 9 would be complete chaos for many reasons because of this
