This thread is random, but I feel like binge-watching some anime for the week and weekend.
Recommend me some anime and I might reply my thoughts on it if I have watched it before/after the recommendation.
Anime I recommend (classic ones)
- Angel Beats - Slice of life, comedy, and has romance
- Has comedic scenes while still being filled with lots of action
- Story will make you cry and is very detailed
- Visuals are great
- Clannad - Slice of life, comedy
- Has a nice story and also an after story (which is very nice)
- This anime will tear your heart out
- Compared to other comedy anime, this is taken at a slow pace, but is very enjoyable anyways
- Attack on Titan - Lots of drama
- Really dramatic and episode 1 (if you haven't watched it) is a great representation of what it is so I don't think I need to say much
- Loads of action and amazing animation + visuals
- Lots of gore
- Code Geass - Mecha, drama, sci-fi
- The first part of Code Geass (Lelouch of the Rebellion) is an absolute classic with a memorable story
- Characters in this show are built different; very unique style (everyone is so skinny dang)
- The protagonist is really interesting
"Newer" anime I recommend (well non-classics basically)
- Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Supernatural, comedy
- Great stories for each part (at least for parts 1 - 5 which I have watched)
- Unique characters and very unique visuals
- Right now, only parts 1 - 5 have been released in anime-form
- Each part has a different tone and style
- Part 1 is like Castlevania probably
- Part 2 is much more comedic
- Part 3 is basically the same tone as Part 2 just with different story
- Part 4 has a different art style, music, and tone compared to previous parts
- Part 5 is more dramatic with great music (like every part)
- Each part has a different tone and style
- I recommend not skipping any parts. If you do plan on doing that, I recommend limiting that exclusively to Part 1 otherwise you don't get the full experience.
- Overlord - Isekai, MMO
- Pretty in-depth backstory; I recommend reading the light novel too as it goes into detail the minor things skipped in the anime
- Protagonist is overpowered; but at least for a good reason. This makes a lot of fight scenes between him and his opponent rather enjoyable.
- Basically every one of the MC's allies are overpowered (also for a good reason)
- This adds to the fights since you want to see them kick ass

- Season 3 kinda had bad CGI (seasons 1 and 2 were not as noticeable)
- The Promised Neverland - Horror, drama
- Memorable characters and very intriguing plot
- The horror in this anime will probably get you; majority of it is mainly just atmospherical rather than sudden so you can feel really tense at times
- The OST is great

@timegoesbyfast imo i dont like rent a girlfriend since the protagonist is such a loser and he's a pushover for no reason other than "I got dumped wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

(Below are the ones I've already seen/continuing)
- Assassination classroom - Classic, amazing with great characters and styling. The story I find is one of the best aspects of it continuing to develop until the ending. 10/10
- Akashic Records - Surprisingly good, seeing the MC change from Arata from Trinity Seven to a respectable person was really nice. It's unfortunate that it only lasted 12 episodes so far. 8.5/10
- Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai - The title was what got me roped in and subverted my expectations. I was guinuinely expecting it to be a harem anime yet it somehow turned out to be a (for the most part) realistic representation and is a masterpiece in my opinion with great well-developed characters, amazing visuals, and an amazing OST. 10/10
- My Hero Academia - Love the characters, animation, and OST. I feel that Deku just monologues like every step he takes so I kinda get bored when there's no action. Seeing him develop into a stronger hero is really satisfying along with separate characters' fight scenes being enjoyable. 9/10
- Oreshura - The MC is (somewhat) different from others in rom-coms taking place in high school. I really expected him to have every cliche but it only had a few. Characters were likeable and show was overall enjoyable to me. 8/10
